The rhinos of Protos are herd animals, grazing the tundra of the continent, this is because of the cooler climate. With a keen sense of smell and poor eyesight they are easily startled. If startled they will let out a large bellow and charge the cause of the surprise, its head down and its two meter long horn lowered at the target.

The woolly rhinoceros is a herbivore, though unlike its modrn cousins, it grazes for rather than browsin' on larger plants. The woolly rhino is legendary for its foul temper, and its size & huge horn give it a ferocious bravery.

These animals have very bad moods and would often charge jeeps and equipment. One keeper was trampled by this animal and had to be rushed to hospital immediately. Any threat (real or imagined) to the rhino or its herd is met with loud bellows and the stompin' of feet. Often, those who unwittingly anger a woolly rhino have no time to amend the intrusion before the beast attacks.
